Ms. Brook Fuchs
Brook Fuchs is the Principal at W.B. Simpson Elementary. She is originally from Chestertown, Maryland and graduated from Kent County High School in 1996. She went on to graduate with a Bachelor’s Degree in 2000 from Salisbury University in Elementary and Early Childhood Education. She began her teaching career in 2000 at Centreville Elementary School in Queen Anne’s County, Maryland. During her time in Queen Anne’s County she was a first and second grade classroom teacher and taught summer school for outgoing second and fourth grade students. In 2004, Mrs. Fuchs graduated from Salisbury University with a Master’s Degree in Reading. In 2005, she became the reading specialist at McIlvaine Early Childhood Center in the Caesar Rodney School District and remained in that role for nine years. She earned the distinction of Teacher of the Year for 2011-2012. Mrs. Fuchs obtained her school leadership certification from Wilmington University and became the assistant principal at McIlvaine in 2014. She remained in that role through 2023. Mrs. Fuchs resides in Dover with her husband Eric and her three children, Dylan, Ellie and Logan.
